Deco Handspun is a Miami, Florida based one woman business.  I am a self-taught knitter, spinner, seamstress and all around crafty girl. I'm a bit of a renaissance girl, I'll try just about anything at least once (except sky-diving, bungee jumping, and swimming with sharks), and I love to learn new things, hence my passion for all things craft.

Why Deco Handspun? Anyone who has ever been to or heard of Miami, the first thing they think of is the Art Deco architecture on South Beach. As a former architecture student, I have still retained a lot of the design essentials I was taught and I hope to capture that in the products I create. Being that I was born and raised in Miami, I really don't have much need or use for woolen objects (as it's really only cold here 2 days out of the year) but I LOVE working with wool. Therefore, much of the excess fibers/yarns will be sold here.

I will try to update my merchandise at least once a week. I also have an Etsy site that I list these same products on. Until I get this site off the ground, the whole Etsy thing will help with exposure.
